I spent the first two weeks of October with my brother's family, in California. We (patiently) awaited the arrival of our nephew; we played in the sun, we shopped, we ate, we had lots of fun, & I took lots of pictures.
I asked Myla for 20 minutes, she gave me 21.
1. Good morning, October. 2. Off to preschool.
3. She needs her backpack, & his hand.
4. The sunrise over the bay.
5. Ella & I hung my show.
6. My biggest baby hurt his arm at school, so it was an early day home, filled with some snuggles (this was before we knew it was broken).
7. As soon as I turn my back, she's on the table.
8. Boxes are safer for her.
9. Costumes are their favorite.
10. A little art time before bedtime.

September 16th. Spiderman in Pasagshak. September 17th. Pots & pans = music.
September 18th. The day Covey learned to ride a two-wheeler.
September 19th. She's kind of cute (& possibly overphotographed).
September 20th. The chickens, they run from her every.single.time.
September 21st. My bedtime view.
September 22nd. Sunlight & shadows, & those tiny fingers.
September 23rd. I'm glad I forgot to put the cereal away.
September 24th. My kitchen-sidekick.
September 25th. Flying.
September 26th. She leaves a good trail.
September 27th. He's turning into quite the artist.
September 28th. This girl & those chickens.
September 29th. Three little birds, in my doorway.
September 30th. Dance party, they're the best.

Remember that time that you, Covey, said you needed a band-aid. I came to check on you & found this- lots of band-aid wrappers, lots of blush & those tiny footprints leading right back to you.
Remember when you, Ella, climbed all over everything in site & left those little handprints behind. 
Remember when we made a cake for your dad's birthday, & you, Ella, climbed up the chair your brother's left behind & got into one cake while I frosted the other.
Remember your Wonder-Woman costume, Ella, & the crown your brothers stuck behind the print on our bedroom wall.
Remember all those figurines all three of you kids liked to play with, & that one day I went for a water bottle, & found a little superhero.
Remember that one day I looked out at the wind & rain, & instead found one little monk upside-down, in another. I laughed, & knew it was you, Covey, & you laughed, & said 'that was me!'
...& I didn't get a photograph. but I did get some video, phones can be handy.
